I was wondering if I really needed to post a “First Impression” about the second season of Bungou Stray Dogs, since I didn’t post anything yet regarding my thought about the first season. But since the beginning of the current season showing us the past of Dazai, thus a different story from the first season I think to myself…why not?
Nakajima Atsushi was kicked out of his orphanage, and now he has no place to go and no food. While he is standing by a river, on the brink of starvation, he rescues a man whimsically attempting suicide. That man is Dazai Osamu, and he and his partner Kunikida are members of a very special detective agency. They have supernatural powers and deal with cases that are too dangerous for the police or the military. They’re tracking down a tiger that has appeared in the area recently, around the time Atsushi came to the area. The tiger seems to have a connection to Atsushi, and by the time the case is solved, it is clear that Atsushi’s future will involve much more of Dazai and the rest of the detectives!
According to the trailer (see the video above), the second season of Bungou Stray Dogs, will be about that Guild of gifted people coming from North America, but we have no clue what they really want (unless you do like me and go read the Wikia page) But before that they decide to show us Dazai past, when he was part of the Port Mafia., at first I though it was a tad confusing since it didn’t start where the first season ended, but since I already had read some information about Dazai background story and why he left the Port Mafia, I know what the first part of the second season his about, I’m just not sure how they will connect everything together.
I must say that I enjoy seeing Dazai previous life (almost relieve he didn’t really change, still a suicidal freak) even if I kind of miss Atsushi, that little tiger is so innocent and precious.
I know what is coming up in the next episode, therefore I’m more looking forward to see the event between the Agency, the Guild and the Port Mafia, I feel it’s gonna be ugly.
