Hi everyone!,
Welcome to a new edition of K-Friday.

My initial idea was to look for in my old draft that I kept from the time I was running my, now deleted, KPop blog. I still have them written in Google doc, collecting the dust in the hope I will eventually give them a new life. However, in the beginning of the week, I woke-up in a bad news from the KPop industry concerning a boy group that I loved and still love and I think everyone should at least check them out once.

[K-Friday] From B2ST to HIGHLIGHT

HIGHLIGHT is a name that is floating around the K-pop sphere since 2017, they are a young group yet their member are veteran since in a past life they were known as the popular six-member boy group BEAST. The original line-up consisted of  Yoon Doojoon, Jang Hyunseung ,Yong Junhyung, Yang Yoseob, Lee Gikwang and Son Dongwoon. In 2016, Hyunseung departure of the group was announced.

[K-Friday] BTS, Bulletproof Boys

Here an other act spotlight, for this edition I decide to go with my third favorite boy group, a group I was really looking forward for them to debut. I already know one for their member, J-Hope (Hoseok), prior the group debut, he featured on one of his labelmate (at the time) song, and what I saw from him got me really curious about the new upcoming group.

[K-Friday] K-Music 101 – Internet is a Dangerous Place

In my 2nd edition of K-Music 101, I talk about fanwar and sadly this is a big problem within any fandom. You can find it everywhere, movies, TV Show, music even book had fandom who can seem to get along for divers reason. And I feel, due to some recent event, it is time to talk about some of the reason why the fanwar exist and why Internet can become a dangerous place.

[K-Friday] Five Treasure Island

F.T Island is a K-rock boy band sign under FNC Entertainment and debut in 2007. The group include five member (duh), the leader, Choi Jonghoon, who also play the guitar and the keyboard, Lee Honggi the main vocal (and face of the band), Lee Jaejin who take care of the bass and also the vocal, Song Seunghyun who play the guitar but also take care of the rap and the vocal and lastly Choi Minhwan the drummist and sub-vocalist. Their fan are called Primadonna and their fanclub color is Sunshine Yellow and Black.
